Sail Counterweight

The sail counterweight is designed to counteract the moment induced by the mast of the boat. A weighty carbon steel rod was machined to a 6.5cm long rod with a 12.7 mm hole through the center. The whole component was then split lengthwise to allow for easy attachment to the wind vane with clamps.
