I worked with another student to design a 3D cell-matrix strain device in AutoCAD. The device characterized the local micromechanical environment of tendon cells after cyclic loading. Simulating chronic tissue overuse, this ultimately provides insight into clinically relevant mechanisms facilitating effective tendon repair.

Used Fusion 360 to replicate Reuleaux’s C3 Four bar linkages in general can convert rotational motion to reciprocating motion, convert reciprocating motion to rotational motion, constrain motion, and magnify force. In the case of C3, the rotational motion of the handle converts the back shorter vertical bar to a reciprocating motion.
